Today we completed term 3 of our homeschool group with a trip to the RSPCA.
Here is Ryan's summary. In a very random order. BTW he couldnt figure out the RSPCA initials so that is why the title is as above.
Caring is feeding animals.
Loving is hugging Animals.
Dont give them chocolate.
Put the chocolate on the roof. (The leader asked the kids where to put chocolate so dogs cant get it, and one suggestion was on the roof. :)
Rescue animals if treated badly.
Dogs
Horses,
goats
cows
rabbits
guinea pigs
kittens
rooster
chicken
Animals needs water, food, dog biscuits, cat food, fish food, bird seed.
Shelter is a bed, chairs, dog kennel, box.
Walking the dog is for exercise.
Tablets kill fleas and helps animals stay safe and strong.
(Below are a few photos - sorry not very good at covering up kids faces. I didnt realise until after that I should have tried to take photos of only my kids. )
My name is Ryan and I am doing all my learning at home with my mummy and my brother.

Dirt
(I said "there is no dog on photo) and his response was "he went tic, tic tic on me" as his tickles his face, showing what Bobby did just before photo was taking.
(We used a discarded bath to make a garden and the thing in front was/is going to be a chook pen, but its not quite finished. I think I started that sometime last year. The reason that I have it in front of the garden is that our dog likes to dig - especially with Ryan - and so didnt want to risk it till the plants were more established.)
(imagine a splashing sound).

I thought a few more photos were needed as we hadnt got to post lately. This, my friends, is a very tolerant mother on the outside (inside my head the thought of mud makes me crazy) and this is my dear beautiful loving child, who knows he is going to have a cold hose down at the end of the day.
Please no tongue..
Ry get rid of your tongue...
Yeah a lovely up and coming teenager eh with attitude, see that look!!!
(Funny story, I am trying to get Ry to do as much as possible of this to make it his, So I said "what do you want the title to be, its about garden, garden garden?" and his answer was "Dirt". Just made me laugh at the time, might not seem too funny to read :)

Ryan's first day at the boat
Once upon a time, Ryan and Mummy and Ellijah and Kena went on the boat. The pirate boat. It was very fun. You want to come? It was very rainy and windy and big waves.
This is the part of the boat where the ropes hold up the sails.
The lady is very talky and she is telling us about the boat.
I am rowing the boat. And it was very funny. The man said if I crash I would get in big trouble.
THis is my bruffer rowing the boat too. Ellijah with Ryan.
Ryan was drawing lines for art in Monday school. The lines on the boat in this photo look like my art.
This is Kena with Ryan in the picture with Ellijah and Mummy. We are watching the waves.
Ryan and Ellijah are pulling and pulling and pulling and pulling the ropes. The stuff comes up, the people, the captains.
The end

Making a shelf with Mummy
Last week I made a box shelf with mum. I didnt like it because I want to do it by myself.
Here I am screwing the screws to hold the box.
Do you see cowie watching?
Do you know that Cowie is looking at me? Do you see him on in the middle of the pile?
He says 'Mooooooooo". It is very funny, cowie is watching me.
This is what cowie can see me.
Mummy's foot is in the road!! I am very happy. The end. Please write back to me. Thanks you for my nice box.
(The above is mostly Ryan's words. I have to add a wee bit, in that it was rather funny how every time he went to screw in another screw or hammer a nail, cowie needed to be repositioned so he could watch. I am hoping that this blogging will be a regular occurance. )
